Olivia Jarvis is a Local News Journalist at Bristol Express News. A recent History and Philosophy graduate from the University of Exeter, Olivia has a strong interest in communities and culture, global news, and politics. She also has experience writing for the aviation news website Travel Radar. Outside of journalism, Olivia enjoys reading, cross-stitching—though she admits she is not particularly good at it—and open-water swimming. Olivia covers a broad range of local and national stories, including politics, community events and culture, local development, and crime across Bristol News, Bedminster Down News, Bedminster News, Bishopston News, Bristol Council News, City Centre News, Clifton News, Cotham News, and Easton News. She also contributes to UK-wide coverage, reporting on politics, crime, local events, and environmental issues. Her wider reporting interests include UK Parliament and foreign policy, covering politics and policy, international and diplomatic relations, economics, and budgets. Olivia is also happy to cover global news from the UK, Europe, the Middle East, and North America. Her special interests include history, education, religion, and global politics, while her opinions and analysis work may explore entertainment, travel, culture and popular culture, and climate policy.
